Theory of Ultrasonic Gas Leakage Detection
The human ear can detect sound frequencies up to 18 KHz. Frequencies above 20 KHz are categorized as ultrasonic sound, which is inaudible to humans. Ultrasonic sound is highly directional, allowing for precise identification of leak sources.
According to physics principles, gas naturally flows from higher pressure regions to lower pressure areas. When pressure differences occur through small openings, the resulting turbulence generates ultrasonic sound. In non-pressurized states, the ultrasonic transmitter can detect waves leaking from small holes. This ultrasonic gas leakage detector is engineered based on these fundamental physical principles.
Key Features
This Ultrasonic Gas Leakage Detector is specifically designed to locate the source of ultrasonic emissions generated by gas or air leaks. The leakage level is displayed on an LED display panel and converted to audible sound through either the internal buzzer or an optional external earphone.
