Product Description
The active ingredient of PrGV.Bt biological pesticide is PrGV (pieris rapae granulosis virus) and Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis). PrGV is a low-toxic, obligate insecticidal thorn of microbial origin. It is a non-pollution biological pesticide, mainly for gastric toxicity.
The pests infect the virus by feeding, and then the virus propagates in the pest body, and infects the whole body of the pest, and finally causes the death of the pest. Diseases and feces and dead insects can then spread the virus to other pests so that the virus can spread in the pest population, thereby controlling the pests. Does not pollute the environment.
Working Mechanism
After insects feed the pesticide, Bacillus thuringiensis first role in insect midgut cells, reducing the insect's immune system, making it easier for insects to get infected with the PrGV. The PrGV then enters the body and carry bulk copy and reproduction, and soon spread rapidly to each part of pests body.
The pests will lose the ability to harm crop. Eventually, the body will change into water and lead to death. The PrGV keep on infecting the healthy pests and next generation through the body fluids and feces of the dead insects, just like a worm plague, in this way, it will control pest in a long time.
