Product Description:

Monkeypox is an infectious disease caused by the monkeypox virus that is commonly found in Africa. Common symptoms of monkeypox infection including fever, headache, muscle aches, low energy, swollen lymph nodes and a skin rash or lesions.

Monkeypox IgM/IgG Antibody Rapid Test Procedure

1. Wipe to clean the puncture site on your finger with the alcohol pad.

2. Remove the cap from safety lancet, push the lancet firmly against the puncture site.

3. Use the disposable pipette to draw the blood from puncture site.

4. Add one (1) drop (20µL) of blood from disposable pipette to sample well on the test cassette.

5. Add two (2) drops (70µL) of dilution buffer from the buffer bottle to the buffer well on the test cassette.

6. Start the timer. Read the test results between 15 and 20 minutes. Do not read the results after 20 minutes

Interpretation of test results

1. The monkeypox antibody rapid test kit should read the results within 15 to 20 minutes after the sample and diluent are added to the sample well. The results displayed after 20 minutes are invalid.
2. Positive monkeypox IgM: Colored bands appear on the M and C lines of the reading window, indicating that the patient is positive for monkeypox virus IgM antibodies.
3. Positive monkeypox IgG: Colored bands appear on the G and C lines of the reading window, indicating that the patient is positive for monkeypox virus IgG antibodies.
4. Negative monkeypox antibody: Only colored bands appear on the C line of the reading window, indicating that the patient is negative for monkeypox virus IgM or IgG antibodies.
5. Invalid result: There is no colored band at the C line position of the reading window. Regardless of whether there are colored bands at the M and G positions, the test is invalid. Please use a new test card to retest.
