Description
Bitumen drum decanter(Asphalt melter)
The bitumen decanter from our factory is a highly efficient, reliable and productive decanting unit custom designed to deliver the best in class productivity and reliable performance. These decanters are specially designed to reheat and melt bitumen packed in drums. Designed for use in association with bulk storage tanks the melted bitumen is automatically transferred from the decanter reservoir to the storage tank during the decanting process. These units are designed to seamlessly integrate to existing installations such as an asphalt plant or bitumen binder production plants.
Bitumen logistic is sometimes an issue, especially in those areas where an adequate supply of hot liquid product through conventional road transport tanks is not ensured. Here most end users are consequently supplied with solid bitumen in drums, but then they have to melt bitumen back into liquid form prior to usage or storage. For today’s requirements, we have developed the most performing drum melting unit actually available in the market. Reliability, user-friendly and high efficiency are the key features of these machines, widely sold to all major road contractors, most of which owning more than one unit for each of their different job sites.
Bitumen drum melter components
The equipment mainly consists of melting tank, lifting system, tipping devices, asphalt drum plate, dripping asphalt collect system, hydraulic propulsion system, thermal oil heating system, bitumen pump, pipe system, and electric control system.
Working principle
The equipment adopts automatic spring door sealed box structure. The drum is lifted by electrical hoisting. The hydraulic propeller pushes drum plate into the melter, and using the hot thermal oil from external boiler as the heating source.
Continuous production one full drum in and one empty drum out from the other end.
Features
Protecting environment: closed-construction and no pollution.
Saving energy: which make fully use of hot air from outside boiler to melt and make asphalt coming out of drums. The closed-construction saves 50% energy sources compared with the exposed one.
Taking asphalt out of drums thoroughly: the equipment use hot thermal oil indirectly heat up the wall of drums, asphalt near the wall of drums can be rapidly melted, and then the whole asphalt in drum will discharge thoroughly.
Having the function of automatically removing residue with a residue filter.
Perfect applicability: it can be applicable to many types of drums. It doesn’t influence operation even if the drum is out of shape.
Better dehydration: it uses asphalt pump with vast displacement to realize inner-cycle and sub-atmospheric dehydration of asphalt.
High reliability: the equipment introduce automatically control system and international-brand electric parts.
