1. Definition
A high-temperature centrifugal fan is a specialized centrifugal ventilation equipment capable of operating stably in high-temperature environments ranging from 100℃ to 900℃ (with some special models reaching up to 1200℃). Its core principle is to convert mechanical energy into gas potential energy through a high-speed rotating impeller, enabling the transportation of high-temperature gases (such as hot air, flue gas, calcination tail gas, etc.). It is widely used in high-temperature industrial scenarios like metallurgy, building materials, and chemical engineering.
Its design needs to specifically address technical pain points caused by high temperatures:
- Heat-resistant materials (e.g., 310S heat-resistant steel for impellers, high-temperature ceramic coatings for casings) are used to resist high-temperature erosion;
- An independent cooling system (such as air cooling or water cooling) is equipped to protect core components like motors and bearings;
- Gaps for thermal expansion and contraction are reserved to prevent component deformation due to high temperatures, ensuring long-term operational efficiency and safety.
2. Core Characteristics

2.1 Strong High-Temperature Resistance
Core components (impellers, casings) are mostly made of high-temperature-resistant materials such as 310S heat-resistant steel and Cr25Ni20, or coated with high-temperature ceramic coatings. They can withstand long-term erosion and radiant heat from high-temperature gases ranging from 100℃ to 900℃ (some special models can reach 1200℃), preventing component deformation and burnout.
2.2 Structural Resistance to Thermal Deformation
Thermal expansion and contraction gaps are reserved in the design, and impellers adopt symmetrical or reinforced structures. This reduces vibration and abnormal noise caused by thermal expansion and contraction of materials at high temperatures, ensuring structural stability during long-term operation.
2.3 Targeted Cooling Protection
Motors are mostly equipped with independent cooling systems (such as air cooling and water cooling), and some bearing boxes also have cooling devices. These block the conduction of high-temperature gases to motors and bearings, preventing core transmission components from failing due to high temperatures.
2.4 Adaptation to the Characteristics of High-Temperature Gases
Blade angles and casing flow channels are optimized to cope with the low density and variable viscosity of high-temperature gases. This reduces wind pressure loss, ensures stable air volume and pressure output even under high-temperature working conditions, and meets the needs of boiler induced draft, kiln smoke exhaust, etc.
