High-pressure centrifugal fan is based on the principle that kinetic energy is converted into potential energy. It accelerates the gas with a high-speed rotating impeller, then slows down and changes the flow direction, so that the kinetic energy is converted into potential energy (pressure). In the single-stage centrifugal fan, the gas enters the impeller from the axial direction, and the gas changes to the radial direction when flowing through the impeller, and then enters the diffuser. In the diffuser, the gas changes its direction of flow causing a deceleration, which converts kinetic energy into pressure energy. The pressure increase mainly occurs in the impeller, followed by the diffuser process. In a multistage centrifugal fan, a reflow is used to drive the air flow into the next impeller to generate higher pressure.
