Designed for the Land Rover Range Rover IV (L405, commonly referred to as the fourth generation or LG), the front lower curved arm with part number LR034219 is a critical suspension component for the front right side that connects the wheel hub to the subframe . This component is commonly referred to as a "banana arm" due to its curved shape and plays an essential role in maintaining precise wheel geometry, ensuring stable handling, and absorbing road impacts for a smooth ride . It is compatible with the Range Rover IV (L405) from 2012 onwards, as well as the Range Rover Sport (L494) and Discovery 5 (L462) .
Manufactured to Land Rover's original equipment standards, this control arm is a direct replacement part . It is important to note that this part number has been superseded over time. The latest supersession part number is LR148059, following the chain: LR034219 > LR072470 > LR072471 > LR109038 > LR113306 > LR126101 > LR148059 . When replacing this component, it is strongly recommended to also replace the fixing bolts and nuts with new items, as they are torque-to-yield (stretch bolts) and may be unfit for reuse after removal . The lower arm bolt requires 100 Nm torque plus an additional 360° turn, while the ball joint nut requires 290 Nm .
