Brief Step-by-Step Installation Guide

Required Tools

1. Park vehicle on flat ground, lift entire car and drain all engine oil into a sealed container.
2. Remove all oil pan fixing bolts and take down the complete oil pan assembly.
3. Unbolt the old filter screen from oil pump inlet, take out the strainer and fully clean all sludge and debris inside the oil pan.
4. Wipe clean oil pump connecting port and flange sealing surface, remove residual aging rubber seal residues.
5. Coat a thin layer of sealing lubricant on the sealing ring of new 03H103081 filter screen, align mounting flange and hand-tighten fixing bolts.
6. Tighten mounting bolts to Volkswagen specified torque value, confirm the mesh filter end stays at the lowest oil storage area of the oil pan.
7. Install new oil pan gasket and reattach oil pan, tighten all oil pan bolts diagonally in sequence.
8. Refill recommended grade fresh engine oil and install a new oil filter.
9. Start engine and idle for 5 minutes, observe dashboard oil pressure gauge to confirm stable normal pressure reading.
10. Inspect oil pan and oil pump joint for oil leakage, complete short test drive to eliminate abnormal engine knocking and chain noise.
