Step-by-Step Brief Installation Guide

Required Tools

1. Park vehicle on flat ground, lift rear axle and secure with jack stands, remove rear wheel.
2. Use spring compressor to pre-compress rear coil spring to release suspension tension.
3. Disconnect 2-pin EDC electric control plug on the old shock absorber.
4. Loosen and remove top flange mounting nuts and bottom axle bolt, take out old shock assembly.
5. Clean suspension mounting brackets and axle contact surfaces of rust and dirt.
6. Install new 5N0512009H shock absorber, align top flange hole positions and bottom bushing eyelet.
7. Tighten all mounting bolts to factory specified torque, reconnect electric control plug until locking buckle clicks.
8. Release spring compressor, reinstall rear wheel, lower vehicle fully to ground.
9. Conduct multiple slow compression tests on rear corners to check for abnormal noise.
