Required Tools

1. Park vehicle on flat ground, shut down engine and wait for full cooling to prevent hot oil scalding.
2. Lift vehicle and drain all engine oil into sealed collection container.
3. Remove oil pan fixing bolts and take down the entire oil pan assembly.
4. Disconnect the solenoid wiring plug on the original oil pump, loosen pump mounting bolts and remove the old defective pump.
