Required Tools

1. Park vehicle on flat ground, shut down engine and wait for complete cooling to avoid scalding from hot coolant.
2. Lift vehicle and drain all engine coolant into sealed collection container.
3. Remove engine upper decorative cover, release quick-lock clips of all cooling hoses connected to thermostat housing ports and separate pipelines.
4. Loosen three mounting flange bolts and take down the cracked original thermostat housing assembly.
5. Thoroughly clean cylinder head mounting surface and all hose connecting ports, remove aging seal residue and accumulated coolant sludge.
