Hang the rear brake caliper with a bungee cord (do not suspend the caliper by the brake hose to avoid oil pipe damage), remove old rear brake pads.
Use a flat screwdriver to gently pry out the old sensor from the pad clamping groove; do not pull hard on the wire to avoid breaking the internal sensing copper wire.
Clean the pad mounting groove and caliper bracket with brake cleaner to remove rust, dust and residual brake powder.
Insert the dual sensing tips of the new 4M0615121D sensor into the reserved slots of the new inner rear brake pad, push until you hear an audible locking click to ensure the sensor fits flush against the pad back plate.
Install the new pad-sensor assembly back onto the caliper bracket, arrange the sensor wire neatly along the caliper guide, use built-in positioning buckles to fix the wire and avoid contact with rotating brake discs.
Reinstall the brake caliper, tighten caliper bolts to factory specified torque, plug the sensor electrical connector firmly until the lock buckle clicks.
Remount rear wheel, lower the vehicle to the ground and torque wheel lug nuts to standard value.
