The thermal stability of the busbar means that during a short circuit, a large amount of heat is generated inside the conductor, which cannot be dissipated into the surrounding air in time, causing the temperature of the conductor to rise rapidly. Due to the short duration of the short circuit, its allowable temperature should be much higher than the allowable temperature for heating during long-term operation The allowable heating temperatures for copper and aluminum bare busbars during short circuit are 300 degrees and 200 degrees, respectively. When selecting a busbar, the short-term heating temperature calculated during the short-circuit transient process of the busbar should be lower than the allowable short-term heating temperature on the actual busbar.
