This product is a Slip-On (SO) flange manufactured from UNS C71500 (70/30 Copper-Nickel alloy / CuNi 70/30) in accordance with ASTM B466 and ASME B16.5 standards. Also known as CuNi30Fe1Mn or Werkstoff Nr. 2.0882, this alloy consists of approximately 70% copper and 30% nickel, with small additions of iron and manganese to enhance strength, corrosion resistance, and erosion resistance. A slip-on flange is designed to slide over the pipe end and is then welded both inside and outside, providing a strong, leak-proof connection. This 4-inch flange is suitable for low-to-medium pressure applications and is widely used in marine and seawater piping systems.

The slip-on flange provides a bolted connection point for joining pipes, valves, or equipment. The flange slides over the pipe end and is secured by fillet welds on both the inside and outside, forming a strong, leak-proof joint. The flange face accommodates a gasket to ensure a reliable seal when bolted to a mating flange.
Unpacking Inspection: Check for transit damage; verify markings and dimensions per ASME B16.5.
Surface Preparation: Clean the pipe end and flange bore using dedicated tools; remove all oil, grease, and contaminants.
Positioning: Slide the slip-on flange over the pipe to the required position. The pipe end should not be flush with the raised face sealing surface.
Alignment: Rotate the flange to align bolt holes with the mating component.
Tack Welding: Apply tack welds at several points around the flange to hold it in place.
Final Welding: Perform fillet welds on both the inside and outside of the flange. TIG welding is recommended.
Post-Weld: Clean weld areas; no post-weld heat treatment required.
Bolting: Install gasket, bolts, and tighten in a cross-torque sequence to the recommended torque value.
Cleanliness: Requires a higher degree of cleanliness than carbon steel fabrication; use dedicated stainless steel tools.
Temperature Limit: For aqueous corrosion service, verify system conditions for temperatures above 300°C.
Welding Heat Input: CuNi puddle is sluggish with an oxide film; requires appropriate amperage control.
Medium Compatibility: Not recommended for use with strong oxidizing acids (e.g., nitric acid) or ammonia systems.
Bolting Torque: Do not exceed recommended torque to prevent gasket damage or flange distortion.
Gasket Selection: Choose gasket material compatible with the service medium and pressure/temperature conditions.
Standard delivery time is typically 15–30 days, subject to order quantity, pressure class, and specification availability.
Common international payment methods include T/T (Telegraphic Transfer) and L/C at sight (Letter of Credit).
Products are securely packed in plywood cases or wooden crates with internal cushioning to ensure safe transportation and prevent damage during transit.
