This product is a butt-welding cross fitting manufactured in accordance with ASTM A815 and ASME B16.9 standards. The material is UNS S32101 (commonly known as LDX 2101), a lean duplex stainless steel. 1. Preparation: Cut the pipe ends squarely and remove all contaminants (oil, dirt, rust).

3. Welding: Weld using qualified procedures (e.g., GTAW, FCAW) by certified welders. Post-weld surface treatment (pickling/passivation) is recommended to restore corrosion resistance.

4. Inspection: Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) such as radiographic or ultrasonic testing to verify weld integrity.

• Ferrite Content: Ensure the ferrite content remains between 40–60% by volume. Improper heat treatment is a common cause of ferrite imbalance, which can reduce corrosion resistance.

• Solution Annealing: Mandatory heat treatment at 1020–1100°C followed by water quenching is required to maintain the duplex structure.

• Post-Weld Cleaning: To prevent pitting corrosion, chemically treat (pickle/passivate) the weld area after welding.

• Charpy Impact Testing: Required at -40°C (min 40 J average) for critical applications.
