1. Product Description

This product is a forged threaded pipe nipple manufactured from Incoloy 800H (UNS N08810) in accordance with ASME B16.11 standards . A pipe nipple is a short length of straight pipe with male threads on both ends, designed to connect two female-threaded fittings or pipe ends . Incoloy 800H is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with controlled carbon content (0.05-0.10%) and a solution-annealed grain structure (ASTM 5 or coarser), providing significantly higher creep and rupture strength compared to standard alloy 800 . This 1" SCH80, Class 3000# fitting is designed for permanent threaded connections in high-temperature and corrosive service environments.

6. Installation Instructions

1. Preparation: Clean pipe threads and fitting threads; remove all dirt, oil, and debris.

2. Thread Sealant: Apply Teflon tape or pipe dope to male threads to ensure a reliable seal.

3. Thread Engagement: Screw the nipple into the first female fitting by hand, then tighten with a wrench. Install the second fitting onto the opposite end.

4. Avoid Over-tightening: Do not exceed recommended torque to prevent cracking the fitting body.

• Thread Compatibility: NPT, BSP, and BSPT threads are not interchangeable. Verify thread type per system specification .

• Temperature Limitation: For aqueous corrosion service, limit to approximately 500°C ; for dry atmospheres, higher temperatures are possible but verify system conditions.

• Creep Design: At elevated temperatures (>500°C), creep and rupture properties must be considered in system design .

• Pre-oxidation: In CSP applications, pre-oxidation treatment can enhance corrosion resistance .
