Duplex 2205 butt weld fittings are engineered for pipelines that must survive aggressive seawater and chloride-rich service. Manufactured from UNS S31803 duplex stainless steel, this seawater resistant 90 degree butt weld elbow combines high mechanical strength with outstanding resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking.
Each duplex 2205 butt weld fittings elbow is formed from seamless or welded pipe, then solution annealed and pickled to restore the balanced austenitic-ferritic microstructure. The result is a 90 degree elbow that delivers roughly twice the yield strength of standard 316L butt weld fittings while remaining fully weldable in the field.
As an experienced butt weld fittings supplier, we machine every duplex 2205 elbow to EN 10253-2 and ASME B16.9 dimensions so that it drops straight into existing spools without rework. Dimensional inspection, PMI testing and hydrostatic testing are performed on each piece before shipment.
