Our 3.6D*88MM bio-based stretch elastic staple fiber (brand: SUSTENS®) is a high-performance multifunctional fiber made from DuPont Sorona® bio-based PTT polymer through advanced spinning and crimping technology. It integrates three core advantages: sustainable environmental protection, super high resilience and soft comfort, and is an ideal upgraded material to replace ordinary polyester filling, low-grade down and spandex in some fields.
Different from ordinary polyester filling which relies on mechanical crimp to obtain bulkiness, the elasticity of this fiber comes from the inherent spring-like molecular structure of PTT and natural 3D spiral crimp. It has excellent elastic recovery performance, can quickly rebound after heavy compression, and maintains fluffy state for a long time without collapse and hardening.
The 3.6D medium denier and 88mm long length are golden specifications specially designed for filling and nonwoven processing. Longer fiber length brings better fiber cohesion and more stable three-dimensional network structure, which effectively improves the windproof and thermal insulation performance of finished wadding.

This stretch elastic staple fiber is produced from DuPont Sorona® bio-based PTT polymer, with 37% of its molecular carbon derived from annually renewable plant resources through bio-fermentation technology. Compared with traditional petroleum-based polyester and nylon, its production process reduces energy consumption by about 40% and greenhouse gas emission by about 20%.
Benefiting from the unique Z-shaped spring-like molecular chain of PTT and the 3D spiral crimp forming process, the fiber presents a natural three-dimensional spring structure with outstanding elastic resilience. It achieves over 90% recovery after 300% elongation, with compression set below 5% after long-term compression.

Washable & Durable, No Clumping No Deformation After Repeated Washing
Different from ordinary polyester filling which easily clumps and hardens after washing, this bio-based PTT fiber has excellent washing resistance. It supports machine washing and tumble drying, and remains fluffy and dispersive after repeated washing.
