630/6: a planetary cage with 6 bobbins​ on a 630 mm​ reel flange, typically used as the high‑speed, in‑line stranding stage for compacting and laying up insulated cores or conductors.
+800/3: a second planetary cage with 3 bobbins​ on an 800 mm​ reel flange, commonly used for screening (e.g., copper tape)​ or as a back‑up stranding​ stage in a two‑stage line.
 
Typical process and components for EV‑charging cable lines
Pay‑off: central pay‑off​ (for the master core) + 6×PN630​ planetary cage; optional side pay‑offs​ for cores or screens.
Stranding: 630/6 planetary cage​ with back‑twist​ (planetary) for compact, low‑torsion lay‑up; 800/3 planetary cage​ for copper tape screen​ or additional lay‑up.
Taping: taping head​ for copper tape or dielectric tape; typical taping pitch and speed ranges are available on comparable 400–630 class machines (e.g., pitch 14.5–279.4 mm, taping speed up to 500 rpm).
Pre‑twist/back‑twist: planetary mechanism provides full back‑twist; cradles can be locked for zero back‑twist​ when required by product spec.
Cooling: water cooling trough​ after stranding/taping for dimensional and property stabilization.
Dielectric extrusion: single‑ or dual‑layer XLPE​ (or other insulation) with crosshead, capacitance meter, and pre‑heater​ for EV‑charging cable insulation.
Metering and capstan: meter counter​ + capstan​ for haul‑off control.
Take‑up: PN1000–PN1600​ take‑up reels with traverse; PLC/touch‑screen control for tension, pitch, and line speed.
