Description:
Metal stamping is a manufacturing process used to convert flat metal sheets into specific shapes. It is a complex process that can include a number of metal forming techniques-blanking, punching, bending and piercing etc
Except for some specialized processes, sheet metal stamping doesn't use heat. Instead, it is done with a cold-forming technique.
Even though no heat is used, the part can come out hot because of the friction that is created between the metal and the die from the force of the press.
