1. Material Introduction

Made of tungsten carbide (WC) with cobalt (Co) or nickel (Ni) binder via powder metallurgy sintering. Balanced hardness and toughness for harsh sealing conditions.

2. Physical Properties

  • Hardness: HRA 88-92 (HV 1300-1800)
  • Flexural Strength: ≥1500 MPa
  • Density: 14.0-15.0 g/cm³
  • Thermal Conductivity: 80-100 W/m·K

3. Advantages & Disadvantages

  • High toughness, anti-impact, no brittle fracture
  • Excellent wear resistance for particle-containing media
  • Stable mechanical performance under vibration

Disadvantages

  • Limited corrosion resistance; cobalt binder vulnerable to strong acid
  • Lower thermal conductivity than silicon carbide
