Introduction:
This TiN-coated solid carbide thread mill is precision-engineered for machining 1/4"-18 NPTF (National Pipe Taper Fuel) threads - the dry-seal variant of NPT used in critical fluid/gas systems. The gold-colored Titanium Nitride (TiN) coating enhances wear resistance while maintaining sharp cutting edges for superior thread quality.
Thread Standard: 1/4"-18 NPTF (ANSI B1.20.3)
Material: Micro-grain carbide substrate
Coating: 2-3μm TiN layer (HV 2300+)
Flute Design:
3-4 flutes (optimized for steel/iron)
30° helix angle for smooth chip flow
Dimensional Accuracy:
Complies with ASME B94.19
±0.01mm runout tolerance
