If you need to work with tougher materials, tungsten carbide conical pointed nose rotary burrs are also suitable for use with steel, cast steel, and hardened, heat-treated steels with a hardness of over 1,200 N/mm2 (over 38 HRC). They can also be used with steels up to 1,200 N/mm² (< 38 HRC) and cast iron, including grey/nodular cast iron (GG/GJL, GGG/GJS), black cast iron (GTS, GJMB), and white annealed cast iron (GTW, GJMW).
These burrs are also ideal for working with copper, soft non-ferrous metal, brass, and zinc. They are best suited for use with hard non-ferrous metals and can handle materials with a hardness over 700 N/mm² (> 220 HB). They can also be used with steel materials that have a hardness over 54 HRC and tool steels.
