Carbon Fibre was developed as the ultimate in composite materials, with incredible strength and stiffness for its weight. Used widely in the Aerospace industry and in Formula 1 racing, Carbon Fibre also has many applications in the model hobby arena!

Tubes are made with epoxy resin systems which have virtually zero water absorption making them more suitable for marine based use than lower quality tubing made with vinylester or polyester resin systems.

We have in-house paint facilities and are able to finish tubes with UV stable paint systems, protecting the tubing against inevitable long exposure to the elements.

Roll wrapped carbon fibre tubes with a smooth surface finish of 3k carbon fabric prepreg in plain weave, clear-coated glossy. Subjacent layers from unidirectional non-crimp fabric. High-quality epoxy resin matrix.

Characteristics:

Lightweight, excellent corrosion and heat resistance and electrical conductivity. Very good torsional and hoop stiffness, but lower bending strength than other tubes.

After laminating, the wound CFK round tubes are ground (round) to size and then coated.
