1. Product Overview

The Corrugated Color Steel Panel (also known as Roofing Steel Plate) is a lightweight, high-strength roofing and cladding material made from hot-dip galvanized steel sheet or aluminum-zinc alloy coated steel sheet as the base metal, processed through surface degreasing, chemical conversion treatment, continuous coil coating and corrugated roll forming.

The product combines the sacrificial protection of the metallic coating with the decorative and corrosion-resistant performance of the organic coating. It features light weight, high strength, quick installation, rich colors and full recyclability, and is widely used in industrial plants, warehouses and logistics centers, steel structure buildings, prefabricated houses, garages, and roofing and wall cladding systems of various civil and public buildings.

3. Mechanical Properties

With cold-rolled steel sheet as the substrate, the product retains excellent strength and formability after galvanizing and coating. The main mechanical properties are as follows (typical values, subject to the mill test certificate).

4. Corrosion Resistance

The product adopts a dual protection system of metallic coating plus organic coating: the metallic coating provides sacrificial anode protection at cut edges and scratches, while the organic coating isolates moisture, salt spray and ultraviolet rays. The corrosion resistance of different coating systems is shown below.

Note: Salt spray resistance is tested in accordance with GB/T 1771 neutral salt spray test. Outdoor service life is an empirical reference value under normal atmospheric conditions; the actual life is affected by local climate, installation quality and maintenance.

5. Technical Description

5.1 Manufacturing Process

The base metal is uncoiled, degreased and cleaned, then treated with chemical conversion. On the continuous color coating line, primer and top coat are applied by roll coating and cured by high-temperature baking. The coated sheet is then roll formed into the required corrugated profile, cut to length, inspected and packed.

5.2 Transportation and Storage

• Panels shall be stored in a dry and ventilated warehouse, and long-term open-air stacking shall be avoided to prevent rainwater from penetrating between panels and causing water stain corrosion.

• Use dedicated lifting tools or nylon slings during hoisting; wire ropes shall not be tied directly on the panels to avoid damaging the coating.

• During transportation, panels shall be firmly bundled with corner protectors to prevent mutual friction and collision.

5.3 Processing and Installation

• Electric nibblers or dedicated cutting machines are recommended for cutting; flame cutting shall be avoided to prevent burning the coating and rusting of cut edges.

• For roofing installation, dedicated accessories such as waterproof self-drilling screws, closures and flashings are recommended to ensure watertightness of the joints.

• After installation, iron filings and debris on the panel surface shall be cleaned in time to prevent rust stains and contamination.

5.4 Applications

Suitable for roofing and wall cladding of industrial plants, warehouses, logistics parks, stadiums and temporary buildings. It can be combined with insulation wool, skylight panels and gutters to form a complete metal roofing system.

6. Quality Assurance

6.1 Standards

The product is manufactured and inspected in accordance with GB/T 12754 "Prepainted Steel Sheet and Strip in Continuous Hot-dip Metallic Coated" and GB/T 2518 "Continuously Hot-dip Zinc and Zinc Alloy Coated Steel Sheet and Strip". ASTM A755, EN 10169 or other standards can also be applied upon customer request.

6.3 Quality Commitment

• Each batch is delivered with a mill test certificate (quality certificate), specifying grade, specifications, coating mass, coating thickness and inspection results.

• Under normal transportation, storage and installation conditions, a coating warranty of 10 - 15 years is provided (depending on the coating system).

• For batches confirmed to have product quality problems, return, replacement or compensation will be handled in accordance with the contract.
