Product Description

Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel Coil (GI) is produced by passing cold-rolled strip through a molten zinc bath at around 460°C, forming a metallurgically bonded zinc-iron alloy layer. The zinc coating acts as a sacrificial barrier, protecting the substrate from rust even when the surface is scratched. GI coil is the standard substrate for PPGI and is also used directly in roofing, ductwork, fencing and electrical enclosures.

Grade Comparison

Usage & Notes

· Store in a dry, ventilated warehouse; avoid direct sunlight and rain exposure.

· Wear clean gloves when handling to prevent fingerprint and oil marks on the surface.

· When welding, remove zinc coating within 20 mm of the weld line and ventilate properly.

· For outdoor use, painting or PPGI lamination is recommended for extended service life.

Shipping, Payment & Packaging

Delivery time: 7–15 working days after deposit confirmation.

Payment terms: T/T (30% deposit, 70% against B/L copy) or L/C at sight.

Packaging: Export standard seaworthy packing – waterproof paper, steel edge protectors, outer ring and inner ring protection, steel straps.

Loading capacity: 20' GP approx. 25 tons; 40' HQ approx. 26 tons (subject to thickness and width).

After-sales Service

We provide Mill Test Certificate (EN 10204 3.1) before shipment. If any quality issue is confirmed by SGS / BV, replacement or compensation will be negotiated. Slitting, cut-to-length and OEM orders are welcome.
