Wear resistant steel plates are produced through specialized heat treatment processes that achieve high hardness while maintaining good toughness.

High-quality alloy steel billets with precise chemical composition (including carbon, manganese, chromium, molybdenum, boron) are selected.

The steel is heated to high temperatures (1100°C - 1200°C) and rolled to the required thickness (2mm - 100mm). The hot rolling process refines the grain structure and ensures uniform thickness.

The rolled plates are rapidly cooled (quenched) from high temperature. This process:

• Transforms the microstructure to martensite

• Achieves high hardness (400-550 HB)

• Maximizes wear resistance

Depending on the required toughness, the plates may undergo tempering to balance hardness and impact resistance.

The plates are leveled to ensure flatness and dimensional accuracy.

A light rolling pass improves surface quality and flatness.

Every plate undergoes rigorous testing:

• Hardness testing (BHN)

• Chemical composition analysis

• Mechanical property testing (tensile strength, elongation)

• Dimensional inspection (±1% tolerance)

• Ultrasonic testing (available upon request)

Plates are cut to customer-specified lengths (1000-12000mm) and can be processed (cutting, bending, welding, punching) as required.

A: The NM series (Nai Mo = Wear Resistant in Chinese) indicates the hardness level. Higher numbers mean higher hardness:

• NM400: 370-430 HB, good wear resistance and toughness

• NM450: 420-480 HB, higher wear resistance

• NM500: 470-530 HB, excellent wear resistance for severe conditions

• NM550: 520-580 HB, extreme wear resistance for highly abrasive environments
