Generator refers to the mechanical equipment that converts other forms of energy into electrical energy. It is driven by water turbine,steam turbine, diesel engine or other power machinery, which converts the energy generated by water flow, air flow, fuel combustion or nuclear fission into mechanical energy, which is transmitted to the generator, and then converted into electrical energy by the generator.

The gasoline engine drives the generator to turn the energy of gasoline into electricity. In the cylinder of gasoline engine, the mixed gas burns violently and the volume expands rapidly, which pushes the piston downward to work. Each cylinder works in a certain order, and the thrust acting on the piston becomes the force to push the crankshaft to rotate through the connecting rod, thus driving the crankshaft to rotate. If the brushless synchronous alternator is coaxial with the crankshaft of the gasoline engine, the rotation of the gasoline engine can be used to drive the rotor of the generator. Based on the principle of lectromagnetic induction', the generator will output the induced electromotive force and generate current through the closed load circuit.
