The reason it is called a master gearbox is that the ratio of this device is a factor of the total transmission ratio, regardless of what gear the transmission is in. With this ratio, the requirement for the reduction capacity of the transmission can be effectively reduced. The advantage of this design is that the size of the transmission can be effectively reduced, making the overall arrangement of the vehicle more rational. The main function of the main gearbox is to reduce the speed and increase the torque. We know that the engine output power is certain, according to the power formula W=M*v (power=torque*speed), when the transmission speed is reduced through the main reducer, it can obtain a relatively high output torque, so as to get a larger driving force.
