Composed of corrugated metallic foils stacked or rolled together, the GRACE metallic substrate provides a rigid yet flexible internal framework for exhaust gas treatment. Production Process Flow

Foil Corrugation: High-grade alloy foils are passed through precision gears to create corrugated waves.

Interlocking & Rolling: Flat and corrugated foils are layered and wound tightly into the desired core shape.

Vacuum Brazing: The wound core is welded to its outer metallic shell in a high-temperature vacuum furnace for ultimate structural bond.

Catalytic Coating: The GRACE active catalyst washcoat is applied to the interior channels.

 

Operation & Maintenance

The metallic substrate operates automatically within the exhaust system. To ensure maximum longevity, avoid raw fuel entering the exhaust stream (misfires), which can cause localized overheating and melt the internal structure. Periodically inspect the external shell housing for physical impact damage or weld cracks.
