Product Description:
BTMS is a catonic emulsifier and conditioner. It is plant-based (coconut, palm and rapeseed oil). It is exceptionally mild and is ideal for use in leave-on conditioners and cream rinses as well as a wide range of skin care products including moisturisers, nourishing creams, lotions, sun and baby care products and make-up bases.
BTMS is effective for both hair and skin.
In hair care products, it gives hair excellent manageability, reduces static and leaves hair feeling light without the build-up often associated with polymeric quats.
In skin creams and lotions, it gives the skin a nourishing and softening effect and makes the skin feel pleasant.
Behentrimonium Methosulfate (BTMS) is a quaternary ammonium compound commonly used in hair care products as a conditioning agent. It is derived from rapeseed oil or other vegetable sources, making it a natural and sustainable alternative to synthetic ingredients.
BTMS works by effectively penetrating the hair shaft and coating it with a protective film, which helps to detangle the hair, reduce frizz, and improve overall manageability. It can also help to reduce static electricity in the hair and improve its luster and shine.
