Description

Processless CTP plates are composed of an aluminum base coated with a photosensitive material. When exposed to UV light through a film negative or digital file, a chemical reaction occurs in the photosensitive layer. The exposed areas become receptive to ink, while the unexposed areas remain hydrophilic, repelling ink.
During printing, ink is applied directly onto the plate, which is mounted onto the press. The ink adheres to the exposed areas, while the non-image areas remain free of ink. This process eliminates the need for chemical processing, making Processless CTP plates a sustainable option that reduces the environmental impact of the printing process.
