TLB Series Cam Lobe Pump | High Viscosity Metal Rotor Pump for Petrochemical & Wastewater Handling
The TLB series cam-type metal rotor pump (rotary lobe pump) is a rugged positive displacement pump built for high-viscosity, high-solid-content and corrosive media transfer in chemical, petroleum, environmental and wastewater treatment applications. Its abrasion-resistant metal rotors and robust casing provide reliable long-term performance even under demanding process conditions.
Working Principle
Two synchronized cam-shaped rotors rotate in opposite directions inside the pump casing, driven by a synchronized gear transmission. As the rotors rotate, the sealed chamber between the rotor lobes and the casing periodically changes in volume. On the inlet side, the expanding chamber creates a partial vacuum that draws the medium in; on the outlet side, the contracting chamber pushes the medium out under pressure. The precise, non-contact clearance between the rotors and the casing enables the pump to convey high-viscosity, abrasive and solid-containing media with strong self-priming and reversible flow capability.
