The JOS6 is a marine disc stack centrifuge engineered for shipboard waste oil, sludge, and bilge water treatment. Designed to meet MARPOL Annex I requirements, it reduces oil content in bilge water discharge to below 15 ppm. The integrated oil content monitor (OCM) with automatic alarm and 3-way valve ensures regulatory compliance. With duplex stainless steel construction, marine-grade epoxy coating, and sacrificial anodes, it withstands the corrosive marine environment for decades of service.

The JOS6 separates based on density-gradient centrifugation. Contaminated bilge water or waste oil enters the rotating bowl through a central feed pipe. Under 8,000G+ centrifugal force, the phases stratify: solids accumulate on the bowl wall, oil forms an inner ring, and clean water occupies the outermost layer (for oil-from-water applications). The centripetal pump discharges clean water through the outlet, while separated oil is skimmed off. The integrated OCM continuously monitors discharge water oil content—if it exceeds 15 ppm, the 3-way diversion valve automatically recirculates water back to the bilge tank and triggers an alarm. Sludge is ejected automatically at preset intervals without interrupting operation.
