DIN 41612 is a DIN standard for electrical connectors that are widely used in rack based electrical systems. Standardization of the connectors is a pre-requisite for open systems, where users expect components from different suppliers to operate together. The most widely known use of DIN 41612 connectors is in the VMEbus system.

The DIN 41612 has been widely accepted as a standard for a variety of interconnection applications in the telecommunications and data markets worldwide. DIN connectors with three rows (a, b, c) of contacts on 0.100" (2.54mm) square grid are available in wire-wrap or solder tail type terminations. Various pin configurations including 5pin, 10pin, 15pin, 20pin, 30pin, 32pin, 48pin, 64pin and 96pin are available.
