White Fused Alumina is a type of high purity aluminum oxide that is used in the production of vitrified wheels. Its low soda and silica content gives it a clear and pure appearance, making it the ideal choice for achieving the whitest wheels possible. This grade of aluminum oxide is also highly friable, meaning its crystals break down quickly and constantly during use, resulting in smaller cutting crystals.
Further, White Fused Alumina has many other diverse applications. It can be used in long afterglow phosphors, three-color phosphor, abrasive materials, transparent ceramic lamps, high-pressure sodium lamps, catalyst carriers, EP-ROM windows, crystals, rubies, sapphires, electronic ceramics, and more.
