Brown Corundum is used as a sandblasting surface treatment due to its relatively high density, which helps to keep dust to a minimum and improve operator visibility. This is in contrast to slag, which, due to its breakability, forms a glass phase structure and is prone to shattering into small particles, resulting in an increase of dust particles in the air and environmental pollution.
Brown Corundum is also efficient. Under a certain pressure, it rapidly impacts the surface of the object with sharp edges and can easily accelerate and produce a higher impact force due to its small particle size. This leads to quicker cleaning than with conventional abrasives.
Additionally, since Brown Corundum particles are relatively low in loss, more effective particles can hit the surface of the object. This leads to an overall cleaner metal surface with reduced embeddings and no rust, water-soluble salts, or other pollutants.
