Brown Fused Alumina is created by the fusion of bauxite in an electric arc furnace at high temperatures. The product appears brown in color and has excellent hardness and toughness. Furthermore, it exhibits high temperature resistance, strong erosion resistance, high strength and thermal stability. It is an ideal raw material for the manufacture of shaped refractories.
Brown aluminum oxide is produced by using premium raw materials and 3500 KVA furnace. It is a highly usable material, perfect for general abrasive applications in bonded abrasive tools, polishing and sandblasting. Its hardness and abrasive capacity is a lower than diamond, boron carbide and silicon carbide, making it suitable for grinding ferrous materials, tough, and hard materials. Furthermore, it is often used as high-class refractory materials and is offered in macro and micro-powder forms, in F and P grades.
Brown corundum was used as sandblasting surface treatment, because of its relatively high density, so that is less dust in the process of sandblasting. This ensures operator health and safety, at the same time it can improve operator visibility.Different from conventional abrasive materials, brown corundum is a pure non-toxic mineral, which does not contain harmful free silicon substances that lead to silicosis, toxic heavy metals or radioactive pollutants. In addition, the low consumption and recyclability of products can greatly reduce the amount and cost of waste disposal after the product is used.
Brown corundum is very suitable for many fields. Normally, it can be reused several times. If it has not lost its cutting ability after the first time, the number of cycles can be more. Without cutting ability, brown corundum can also be recycled and applied to the construction industry as cement additive.
