Product Description:

Brown Fused Alumina is a highly durable and tough material produced through the fusion of bauxite in an electric arc furnace at high temperatures. Its brownish color is indicative of its high hardness and toughness. This product is created using a tilting electric arc furnace, and it boasts several desirable properties, including high temperature resistance, strong erosion resistance, high machinery strength as well as thermal stability. This makes brown fused alumina an excellent raw material for the manufacturing of shaped refractories.

 

Brown Aluminum Oxide is made by fusing premium raw materials in a 3500 KVA furnace. This perfect material is specifically designed for use in general abrasive applications in bonded abrasive tools, polishing, and sandblasting grit. Although aluminum oxide has lower hardness and abrasive capacity than diamond, boron carbide, and silicon carbide, it is widely used for grinding ferrous materials and finishing tough and hard materials. It is also a high-quality refractory material and comes in both macro and micro powder form, in both F and P grades.

 

Features:

Less Dust

Brown corundum is commonly used in sandblasting surface treatment due to its relatively high density, which results in less dust during the sandblasting process. This ensures both the operator's health and safety, while also improving visibility. In contrast, slag is brittle and can easily be smashed into small particles, causing environmental pollution due to its small suspended particles. Similarly, quartz sand is a fragile abrasive.

 

High Efficiency

Under pressure, brown corundum can quickly impact the surface of an object with numerous sharp edges, resulting in a quick spray grinding method. The acceleration and velocity of particles in the air flow are functions of particle size and inertance, so smaller particles are more easily accelerated and produce higher impact force on the surface of the object. As a result, brown corundum can clean objects twice as fast as other conventional abrasives.

 

Low Depletion

Brown corundum has a unique particle size that allows more effective particles to hit the surface of an object. Therefore, use of brown corundum can greatly reduce the loss of abrasive.

 

High Quality Surface Treatment

Brown corundum is able to penetrate deep into the holes and pits on the surface during sandblasting, effectively removing all rust, water-soluble salts, and other pollutants to leave behind a clean surface free of any embeddings. In contrast, the coarse sharp edges and corners of materials such as copper slag and nickel slag can lead to failed initial coating and poor coating effect.
