The 695 Zirconia Full Ceramic Bearing is a precision miniature deep-groove ball bearing engineered with rings and rolling elements manufactured entirely from zirconium dioxide (ZrO₂) ceramic, paired with a PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) retainer as standard configuration. The bearing conforms to metric size 695: 5mm inner diameter × 13mm outer diameter × 4mm width. Its all-ceramic construction delivers superior electrical insulation, non-magnetic properties, corrosion resistance, and self-lubricating characteristics, making it an ideal replacement for conventional steel bearings across demanding applications.
Zirconia (ZrO₂) is an advanced ceramic material whose unique physical and chemical properties underpin the superior performance of full ceramic bearings.
Zirconia ceramic attains hardness up to 1200 HV, significantly exceeding that of bearing steel (approximately 700-800 HV). Under sustained high-speed rotation and repeated contact motion, the hard ceramic surface effectively resists abrasive wear, maintaining dimensional accuracy and operational stability. Ceramic bearings typically deliver 3 to 5 times the service life of steel bearings.
Zirconia exhibits outstanding chemical stability, resisting attack from strong acids, alkalis, inorganic salts, and seawater. While conventional steel bearings rapidly corrode in chemical processing, electroplating, and marine environments, zirconia full ceramic bearings operate reliably without protective coatings.
Zirconia ceramic is a natural insulator with high electrical resistivity, preventing arc damage to bearing raceways and rolling elements. Additionally, its non-magnetic nature prevents the attraction of magnetic particles, eliminating premature spalling and noise caused by contaminant ingress.
