RadMet-10 provides inspectors with a dual function detector that can quickly locate radioactive materials and metals. The device is compact and lightweight, allowing operators to quickly scan luggage and personnel without feeling fatigued. Even in the face of heavily shielded radiation materials, its sensitivity remains high.
RadMet-10 is equipped with a 2cc CsI (Tl) high-efficiency detector with SiPM readout system, which responds quickly to radiation. Combined with a sturdy and durable structural design, it can meet the needs of routine security checks and daily field use. The universal 9V battery ensures rapid deployment completion. When the device issues an alarm, the three color LED indicator light will inform the operator whether the cause is from metal or radiation, thereby achieving an immediate and clear response.

4, Principles of Radiation Detection
RadMet-10 uses a 2cc CsI (Tl) scintillator and is equipped with a SiPM reader. This component is used due to its strong light output and sturdy and compact packaging. SiPM keeps the detector compact and impact resistant, while retaining the responsiveness required to capture weak or shielded sources while walking. The gamma spectrum ranges from 50keV to 3 MeV.
RadMet-10 distinguishes between radiation alarm and metal alarm through three color LED lights: green indicates power on, yellow indicates gamma ray alarm, and red indicates metal alarm, so that the operator can immediately understand the cause of triggering the device. The automatic calibration function can adapt to local background radiation, which is crucial for inspectors moving between quiet checkpoints and densely populated passages.
