Product Overview
1. Flocculation Process
Charge Attraction: PAM can be anionic, cationic, or non-ionic, depending on the type of particles in the tailings. It works by neutralizing the charge of suspended particles, causing them to form flocs (clumps).
Enhanced Sedimentation: Once the particles flocculate, they settle much faster, thickening the tailings and making water recovery more efficient.
2. Tailings Thickening
Water Removal: Polyacrylamide helps in increasing the concentration of solids in the tailings, improving the efficiency of the thickening process.
Space Saving: Thickened tailings take up less space, reducing the footprint of tailings storage facilities and minimizing environmental impact.
3. Water Recovery
Reuse: The clarified water from the thickening process can be recovered and reused in the processing plant, reducing the need for fresh water and cutting operational costs.

4. Dosage and Application
The dosage of PAM depends on the specific properties of the tailings (size, concentration, and mineralogy) and the desired outcome. It's crucial to optimize dosage to avoid overdosing, which could affect water clarity or sludge handling.
