Core Applications
Drinking and Domestic Water Disinfection
Bleaching powder serves as a crucial drinking water disinfectant in remote areas, small rural water systems, emergency relief, and field operations. Upon dissolving in water, it generates hypochlorous acid (HClO) that rapidly kills pathogenic microorganisms like bacteria and viruses, preventing waterborne diseases.
