Performance and Applications
Crosslinking Reaction Characteristics: The hydroxymethyl and acryloyl bifunctional groups effectively participate in copolymerization reactions during free radical polymerization, forming stable covalent crosslinked networks under heat treatment. Enhances water resistance, mechanical strength, abrasion resistance, and thermal stability of polymers.
Textile Finishing: Used as an environmentally friendly crosslinking monomer for low-formaldehyde or formaldehyde-free textile finishing agents. Improves wrinkle resistance, dimensional stability, and durable press effect while maintaining soft hand feel and breathability. Ideal for children's wear and underwear.
Adhesives & Coatings: Used as a crosslinking monomer for synthesizing self-crosslinking acrylic emulsions and waterborne polyurethane dispersions with low formaldehyde emission. Improves adhesion, water resistance, chemical resistance, and thermal stability. Suitable for interior decorative coatings, food packaging adhesives, and automotive interior adhesives.
