Theory
Zinc oxide is ionic oxide with wurtzite crystal structure.
Rubber vulcanization: ZnO reacts with stearic acid to form zinc soap, activate sulfur cross-linking and build stable 3D rubber network.
UV shielding: high refractive index to reflect & absorb UVA/UVB.
Antibacterial effect: photo-generated reactive oxygen species damage microbial cell membrane.
Pigment performance: high refractive index provides hiding power.

Production Process
Indirect process: Zinc ingot → melting → zinc vapor oxidation → cooling collection → grinding & classification → impurity removal → inspection → packaging. Direct process: Zinc ore/slag → high temperature roasting & oxidation → air separation purification → milling → test → packaging. Active ZnO: Zinc salt solution reaction → precipitation → washing → calcination activation → milling & sieving.
