Introduction:
The melting point of 1,2-benzisothiazol-3-one is 154-158°C, the boiling point is 204.5°C at 760 mmHg, the density is 1.367g/cm³, and the flash point is 77.5°C. It is a white or slightly yellow powder that is soluble in hot water and some organic solvents, such as ethanol, ethylene glycol, etc.
Uses:
1,2-Benzisothiazol-3-one (BIT for short) is a major industrial bactericidal, preservative and enzyme inhibitor. It has an outstanding inhibitory effect on the growth of mold, algae and other microorganisms in organic media. It can solve a series of problems such as mold, fermentation, deterioration, demulsification and odor of organic products caused by microbial growth. It is widely used in sterilization, marine antifouling and other fields.
