Uses:
This product is widely used as a universal vulcanization accelerator in various rubbers. It has a rapid promoting effect on natural rubber and synthetic rubber typically vulcanized with sulfur. But its use requires activation by zinc oxide, fatty acids, etc. Often used in combination with other accelerator systems, such as dithiothiuram and tellurium dithiocarbamate, which can be used as accelerators for butyl rubber; Used in combination with trisodium lead succinate, it can be used for light colored and water-resistant chlorosulfonated polyethylene adhesive. In latex, it is often used in combination with dithiocarbamate, and when used in combination with diethyldithiocarbamate diethylamine, it can be vulcanized at room temperature. This product is easily dispersed in rubber and does not contaminate. However, due to its bitter taste, it is not suitable for rubber products that come into contact with food. Accelerator M is an intermediate of accelerators MZ, DM, NS, DIBS, CA, Chemicalbook DZ, NOBS, MDB, etc. 2-mercaptobenzothiazole can be refluxed with 1-amino-4-nitroanthraquinone and potassium carbonate in dimethylformamide for 3 hours to produce dye dispersed brilliant red S-GL (C.I. DisperseRed 121). This dye is used for dyeing polyester and its blended fabrics. 2-mercaptobenzothiazole, also known as acidic copper plating brightener M when used as an electroplating additive, is used as a spreading brightener in bright copper plating with copper sulfate as the main salt. In addition, this product is also used to produce pesticide fungicides, nitrogen fertilizer enhancers, cutting and lubricating additives, organic anti ashing agents in photographic chemistry, metal corrosion inhibitors, etc. In addition, it is also a reagent for chemical analysis. This product is low toxic and has a stimulating effect on the skin and mucous membranes.
