Product Description
ER1100 is a pure aluminum (Al ≥ 99.5%) gas shielded welding wire, which is widely used in lightweight welding scenarios with high requirements for conductivity and corrosion resistance.
1. Chemical composition
Main components: aluminum (Al) ≥ 99.5%, the sum of other elements (Fe, Si, Cu, etc.) ≤ 0.5%.
Features: Nearly pure aluminum, no other alloying elements added, so it has excellent conductivity (about 63% IACS) and strong corrosion resistance (especially in oxidizing environments).
2. Core characteristics
Advantages:
High conductivity: suitable for conductive parts such as power equipment and cable busbars.
Excellent corrosion resistance: suitable for marine environments, chemical equipment or structures exposed to air for a long time.
Lightweight: low density (2.7g/cm³), reducing structural weight.
Non-magnetic: can be used for electromagnetic sensitive parts.
Disadvantages:
Low strength: The tensile strength is only about 90-100MPa, which is not suitable for load-bearing structures.
Difficult to weld: easy to oxidize (strict inert gas protection is required), high thermal conductivity (small current fast welding is required).
