This machine is for providing mechnical protection to wire and cable by sheathing them with stainless steel strips or aluminum magnesium alloy strip. Application of this machine goes very broad, such as power cable, control cable and oil-submerged pump cable etc. and diameter of the cable goes from 10mm-100mm.
Its configuration is very simple. Load metal strip bobbin onto the machine; metal strip wraps around wire cable while the cable keeps passing through the bobbin center. Armoured cable is pulled by caterpillar. Caterpillar is driven by a servo motor, together with PLC to coordinate wrapping speed and caterpillar speed.

It’s a giant pay off with maximum cable load of 12T
2. Interlock Armouring machine
2.1 Metal strip bobbin rack
There are six bobbins on bobbin rack to guarantee a continuous armouring. Widths of metal strip are 9.5mm, 12.7mm, 19mm and 25.4mm. Tension control mechanism is adopted.
2.2 Rolling roller
By rolling rollers, left edge of metal strip gets rolled to upward vertical direction and right edge gets
downward vertical. When strip wraps around wire, upward vertical edge meets downward vertical edge, then they interlock together.
2.3 Wrapping angle adjusting device
Wrapping angle is determined by rotating pendulum device. Main component for adjusting is worm and gear device. Wrapping angle won’t change unless it is adjusted manually.
2.4 Motor power
Motor power is 22kw
3. Caterpillar machine
This is to drag cable with maximum pull of 1250kg·f. Cable traveling speed traces wrappingspeed by a servo motor. Traveling speed is under 12.2m/min. Five pairs of pneumatic pistons excludes possiblity of belt slipping.
4. Take-up machine
Maximum take-up speed is 50m/min. Traverse speed traces take-up speed and traverse speed stepless adjustable.
