Product Overview
The Sterile Flocked Nylon Swab is a precision-engineered specimen collection device designed for optimal analyte capture and release. Unlike traditional wrapped swabs, this swab features vertically aligned nylon fibers (flocking) attached to a molded plastic shaft via a spray-on electrostatic process. This design creates a highly absorbent, micro-brush surface that effectively dislodges and collects epithelial cells, pathogens (viruses, bacteria), or biological fluids from collection sites such as the nasopharynx, oropharynx, vaginal canal, or wound beds.
Manufactured under strict aseptic conditions and sterilized via EO (Ethylene Oxide), each swab is individually sealed to ensure sterility and eliminate cross-contamination risks. The swab is compatible with automated liquid handling systems and standard transport media making it the gold standard for PCR testing, point-of-care diagnostics, and environmental sampling.
